A film screening and a meet-and-greet with Anita Włodarczyk at the Warsaw Gasworks Museum
Anita Włodarczyk is one of the most recognisable figures in Polish sport. She is also among the most decorated Polish female athletes. It is therefore with great pleasure that we invite you to the Warsaw Gasworks Museum on 19 August for a special meeting with the three-time Olympic medallist.
Following the discussion with the athlete, there will be a screening of the documentary film ‘Anita’, dedicated to her extraordinary career. The event will take the form of an open-air cinema, and admission is free.
At 7.30 pm, the discussion with the three-time Olympic champion and world record holder in the hammer throw will begin. The event will be hosted by Izabela Kruk. This will be a unique opportunity to meet one of Poland’s most outstanding female athletes in person and hear about her journey to the top.
At 8.00 pm, there will be an open-air screening of the film *Anita*, directed by Katarzyna Grabek. The documentary is produced by Kacper Sawicki, with ORLEN as the main sponsor. The film tells the story of an athlete who rose from a local stadium to the world’s greatest sporting arenas, winning the most prestigious trophies and making her mark on the history of Polish athletics. Anita Włodarczyk has been associated with ORLEN for 16 years.
The film premiered on 14 May at Warsaw’s Luna Cinema during the Millennium Docs Against Gravity festival. The documentary can now be viewed under the open sky, in the unique setting of the Warsaw Gasworks Museum.
