9–30.08.2026 — Grand Press Photo 2026 x Warsaw Gasworks Museum

From August 9–30, 2026, the Warsaw Gasworks Museum invites you to the Grand Press Photo 2026 exhibition, showcasing the best press photographs that received awards and honorable mentions in this year’s edition of the Grand Press Photo National Photojournalism Competition.

The exhibition will feature 214 photographs, including 29 single images, 7 photo essays, 4 documentary projects, and 3 photo essays in the Young Poland category. The exhibition showcases the most significant events and stories of the past year, as captured by Poland’s top photojournalists and documentary photographers.

The title of Photo of the Year 2026 was awarded to a photograph by Wojciech Grzędziński, taken during the collection of samples and fingerprints as part of the examination of the bodies of fallen Ukrainian soldiers. The jury recognized the power of the image and the exceptional documentary value of this work.

The Grand Press Photo National Photojournalism Competition has been organized since 2005 by the Grand Press Foundation. The aim of the competition is to recognize the most outstanding achievements in Polish photojournalism and to promote reliable photojournalism that documents the contemporary world.
