“Salt—the Earth’s White Gold”
Where does salt come from, and why was it once called “white gold”? What role does it play in our daily lives? Workshop participants will learn the answers to these questions as they uncover the secrets of one of the world’s oldest minerals.
During the workshop, children will learn how salt is formed and where it can be found in nature. They’ll explore its different types and uses, and test its properties by conducting simple and safe investigations. Participants will also make their own scented bath salt.
The workshops will be led by educators who will introduce participants to the fascinating world of minerals in an engaging and accessible way, showing that even ordinary salt is an extraordinary treasure of the Earth.
