About the exhibition

‘Event Horizon’ is an exhibition dedicated to transcending the boundaries of knowledge and entering a realm of uncertainty. The works on display encourage visitors to open themselves up to mystery and to experience the world through intuition, emotions and personal associations.

The duo VOLT IN HOLT creates abstract compositions using electricity. For the artists, this dynamic creative process serves as a starting point for a narrative about discovering the unknown – both in the cosmic and the inner realms.

The eponymous ‘event horizon’ is not a symbol of danger here. It becomes a metaphor for the moment when a person decides to cross the boundary of their own experiences and attempt to understand what lies beyond the reach of everyday perception.

From the gallery to the Moon

The exhibition also ties in with the international Art for Impact project, curated by BitBasel. Its aim is to create an archive of contemporary culture, which will be deposited on the Moon as a testament to human creativity for future generations.

Among the 63 works selected from around the world is a reproduction of VOLT IN HOLT’s work entitled δ-5-6-513. Its mission to the Moon is scheduled for the second half of 2026. The original work is on display as part of the ‘Event Horizon’ exhibition.
