Energy in Action – From Lanterns to Smart Systems
Workshops that combine modern technologies with tradition, showing how energy and automation shape our everyday lives. During the classes, we will build intelligent lighting control systems, exploring the basics of electronics, automation and microcontroller programming, and learn how modern technologies affect life.
In the program:
- Light on demand: Building a street lamp that automatically turns on after dark, using a light sensor and an Arduino microcontroller.
- Traffic lights: Creating working traffic lights with algorithms that control traffic and a pedestrian button.
- "Wire Buzz" game: An electronic game that tests the participants' reaction time, using sensors and Arduino.
- Parking sensor: Building a parking system that warns of obstacles using sound and light signals.
The duration of the workshops is about 180 minutes with a 15-20 minute break.
The workshops are intended for families with children from 10 years of age.
*Workshops are led by educators from the Warsaw Gasworks Museum.
*The number of places in the workshops is limited.
